The 27th edition of the Moisson Québec Golf Classic, presented by Exceldor Cooperative, took place last August 28. Three hundred and twenty (320) participants gathered at the prestigious Royal Québec Golf Club to support efforts to tackle food insecurity. It is with great pride that Mr. René Proulx, President and CEO of Exceldor Cooperative, who assumes the honorary presidency of the event, announced that the Classic generated a record profit of $326,500, to respond to the increasing demands received by the food bank.
Moisson Québec and Exceldor Cooperative warmly thank the major partners of the event: Équipe Sarrazin, Cascades, Clean International, National Bank, Desjardins, Farm Credit Canada, RBC Royal Bank, TD Bank, Sanimax, National Cold Chain, KSA, Fasken, Synex Couture Rochette, L. Bilodeau & Fils Ltée, Metro, Air Canada, and CAA-Quebec.
“We want to underline the ongoing commitment of the Exceldor Cooperative team and Mr. René Proulx, who has been assuming the honorary presidency of the event since 2010. Since then, a total amount of over 2.8 million has been raised for Moisson Québec, the only food bank in the Greater Quebec City area. This is a major support which is vital for our response to the 3.2 million requests for food aid we receive each year.” — Élaine Côté, Executive Director of Moisson Québec.
“The support of our business network is more crucial than ever to help Moisson Québec meet the growing demand for food aid in our region. It’s truly commendable to see everyone’s positive response to promoting inclusiveness and fighting food insecurity from which too many families suffer.” — René Proulx, President and CEO of Exceldor Cooperative, honorary president of the 27th edition of the Moisson Québec Golf Classic.
