Our members are the beating heart of our Cooperative. Their commitment to Exceldor is a real source of inspiration for us all to work harder and do better.
Exceldor Cooperative is proudly local. Our head office is in Lévis, Quebec. Our production plants are located in Saint-Anselme, Saint-Damase, and Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, in Quebec, and Hanover, Ontario, and Blumenort, Manitoba.
We are also the owner and co-owner of four prominent Canadian poultry industry players: Les Viandes Lacroix, Volailles Giannone, and Unidindon in Quebec and Blumenort Hatchery in Manitoba.

Our story
Our Cooperative is proud of its roots
In 1945, the Société coopérative avicole régionale de Saint-Damase and the Coopérative avicole régionale d’Etchemins were created. Fifty years later, in 1995, the members of these two cooperatives joined forces to form Groupe Dorchester/Saint-Damase which was later renamed Exceldor coopérative avicole. Today, we are Exceldor Cooperative, the result of this historic merger of two regional poultry cooperatives.
